So to answer the burning question in everyone's mind...did you recover your pictures?!...the answer is, well, no.....maybe, sort of. The guy who was working on it for us got busy with Christmas (where are HIS priorities) and so he installed another hard drive into our PC along with a retrieval software so we can do the searching ourselves. Oh joy. So I have many hours of recovering various jpegs ahead of me. But the good news is we do have our computer back.
Lyndon went back to the audiologist this week to get a new ear mold. (One of them didn't fit just right and was always screeching at us!) He is quite happy with his new mold and is still (!) doing great with his hearing aids.
